My classmates and I had a wonderful 6-day trip to Guilin, China, earlier in November (7 - 12 Nov)– all thanks to Malaysian Harmony Tour & Travel! We are a group of 15 senior women with varied holiday interests, and MHTT managed to curate a great itinerary to accommodate our many requests. This is no small achievement. An especially BIG THANK YOU goes to our Tour Leader, Stephanie Choo from Kuala Lumpur, and our Guilin Tour Guide, Peter Jiang, who shared his extensive knowledge of Guilin, and insights into life here.

We got to view Guilin’s amazing karst mountains on a river cruise and along the Ten Mile Gallery; experience the rich heritage of the Huangluo Yao villagers with their Guinness record long hair; participate in a Miao campfire and traditional welcome drinking ceremony; see the rice terraces in Longsheng; take part in an osmanthus pastry making session; and sample many types of Guilin cuisine.

We even immersed ourselves in not just one but three theatrical experiences: Zhang Yimou’s Impression Liu Sanjie which has Guilin’s spectacular karst mountains as backdrop; the Guilin Romance Park and Theatre’s high-tech song and dance performance with sensational water play; and a highly engaging show on the Yao women’s hair and marriage traditions.

The above were just some of the highlights. We greatly appreciated how so much was packed into such a short trip without us feeling rushed about. When we saw a hot air balloon during our coach ride and asked if we could squeeze that in, Peter arranged one for the very next day! His connections and resourcefulness are solid!

But I think what really made this a memorably good trip was how our tour guides looked out for us. When a couple of our friends caught the flu towards the end of our trip and chose to stay back in the hotel to rest instead of going sightseeing, Stephanie stayed back too to give them support, checking in on them and arranging for room service etc. This left Peter to manage the rest of the tour alone, which he did very well.

Stephanie also made back up plans to stay back in Guilin if my friends were not well enough for the flight back to Malaysia. Thankfully, they recovered and could fly. It was very assuring to know we had Stephanie (and MHTT) always ready to give any support needed. Her experience and confidence shone through 😊

Just returned from Guilin, China yesterday, had an enjoyable & memorable stay there together with 14 of my classmates, loved the spectacular & amazing scenery (karst hills & clear flowing rivers), marvellous cultural shows (open theatre show by river side, Impression Sanjie Liu, World Longest Hair Village show), our tour manager from Harmony, Ms Stephanie, was very helpful & patient in dealing with our rather boisterous group of ladies & so was Mr Peter, the local guide from Guilin, I was amazed at his English speaking skills & also his knowledge about practically everything in Guilin, he was there right till the end, at the airport he helped us to check in our heavy luggage, tq Harmony for organising this tour for us & making my first trip to China a memorable one

Went to South Africa with Malaysian Harmony. Great value for money as the food was always luxurious, the experiences like being able to walk with lion cubs, river cruise and safari tour had great tour guides. Highly recommended as they made sure we were always safe and had everything we could ever need.

Disappointed with this company

Update (after the trip) - I think your company already know what's happen during the ChengDu trip, and i can see the tour leader tried his best to make the thing better after the unhappy incident. Our family members happy to see this and appreciate his efforts.
However, still hope your company can improve the itinerary and make it smooth in the future.

Contacted the admin. Does the admin know how to speak politely? Why be rude? If you can't be polite to people, don't work. Just sit at home. Be polite to the caller doesn't matter what the issue is.
